Marriage Counseling

Committed love relationships are the most powerful and prized of all human experiences and have the potential for the deepest personal and social healing.  They are also

the most complex of human relationships.  The process of joining two people in a relationship which is intended to last a lifetime can involve great effort.  Unfortunately, too often couples are not equipped to deal with the challenges they may face.

What is the PREPARE/ENRICH Program:

The PREPARE/ENRICH Program is based on five inventories, (or assessments), given to and completed by both individuals of the couple.  These inventories examine major relationship issues a couple may experience.  These inventories must be administered by a trained PREPARE/ENRICH Counselor.  There are 4 to 6 feedback sessions in which the counselor facilitates discussion between the couple based on their inventory results.  Through this process the couple learns very structured skills to help resolve distressed areas in their relationship.  (See the goals below).

There are Five Different Couple Inventories

     Pre-Marital Couples

     Pre-Marital Couples with Children

Cohabiting Couples with or without Children

Married Couples with or without Children

Couples over the age of 50

What are the Major Goals of the PREPARE/ENRICH Program:

To explore Relationship Strengths and Growth Areas

To learn Assertiveness and Active Listening Skills

To learn how to Resolve Conflict

To help couples discuss their Family-of-Origin

To help the couple with Financial Planning and Budgeting

To focus on Personal, Couple and Family goals.
